I'm bored in AP Lang again today like usual and I'm not exactly sure what I want to do. I'm thinking about writing more discussion questions for that really stupid APUSH presentation we have to do today, but I would rather just sit here and rant/die. It's so stupid that we have to do a freaking fifty-five minute presentation. I mean we're just gonna drag something we could've covered in 10 minutes out to the length of 55 minutes. We're already having to add in a game and a bunch of discussion questions. Today is going to be a sucky day!!!

Mid-Week Update
Not part of my weekly posting, just a cute thing I found. Enjoy the creepiness of the black and white claymation; it's long, but it's really good.

Giraffe!
Due to personal time constraints, and the fact that there is currently a large cat rendering my arms immobile, weekly contributions are going to work out far better for me than a daily posting gig. So, I'll be bringing you movies/videos that are either fantastic, stupid, stupidly fantastic, or fantastically stupid. So, potentially in the stupidly fantastic vein, here's a clip from SNL a couple of weeks ago. Personally, I am a huge fan of giraffes (as Napoleon Dynamite would say, "they're pretty much my favorite animal." - side note: fantastically stupid movie). Anyway, here's the clip, courtesy of YouTube (sorry for the random stupidness at the beginning...penut budder. Sheesh.):

Music
Markus asked me to do a song of the day, but I am not capable of remembering everyday. Today, however, I've decided that "Death whispered a Lullaby" by Opeth, off of Damnation is today's. Here's a video:
I choose this mostly because I've, only recently, started listening to Opeth, and I like their style a ton. The names of their songs sound like death metal songs but are far more mellow...
I'll let you guys decide why I like it and I nominate someone else to do it a song tomorrow.

Design
Any ideas, You guys?
Otherwise I'm just gonna pull something out of my butt.
You can comment or tell me in person.
:D
I'm thinking simplicity is better.

YAY WORD OF THE DAY
GIRANDOLE-
1 :) A RADIATING AND SHOWY COMPOSITION (AS A CLUSTER OF SKYROCKETS FIRED TOGETHER)
2 :) AN ORNAMENTAL BRANCHED CANDLESTICK
3 :) A PENDANT EARRING USUALLY WITH THREE ORNAMENTS HANGING FROM A CENTRAL PIECE
THE EARLIEST USES OF "GIRANDOLE" IN ENGLISH, IN THE 17TH CENTURY, REFERRED TO A KIND OF FIREWORK OR TO SOMETHING, SUCH AS A FOUNTAIN, WITH A RADIATING PATTERN LIKE THAT OF A FIREWORK. SUCH A PATTERN IS REFLECTED IN THE WORD’S ETYMOLOGY: "GIRANDOLE" CAN BE TRACED BACK, BY WAY OF FRENCH AND ITALIAN, TO THE LATIN WORD "GYRUS," MEANING "GYRE" OR "A CIRCULAR OR SPIRAL MOTION OR FORM." BY THE 18TH CENTURY "GIRANDOLE" WAS BEING USED FOR A BRANCHED CANDLESTICK, PERHAPS DUE TO ITS RESEMBLANCE TO THE FIREWORK. THE WORD’S THIRD SENSE, REFERRING TO A KIND OF EARRING, DID NOT APPEAR IN ENGLISH UNTIL THE 19TH CENTURY

Greetings
Welcome, prodigal children, to Magical Mayhem. Basically, this could be a whiny blog. With lots of authors. Which means it may turn into an incomprehensible, several-way conversation. Hopefully, this won't happen, and we'll actually contribute something to the blogosphere, like random things from the interweb and fun scenes from everyday life. Should be a jolly old romp, eh?
